Dog assisted therapy for year 12 students in Ballarat
As your teenager embarks on their final year of school, it’s essential to ensure they have the support they need to thrive. We are excited to introduce our comprehensive mental wellbeing program, Puppy Pause, specifically designed for Year 12 students in the Ballarat and Central Highlands region. Puppy Pause uses a strengths-based, goal orientated approach to support students across year 12 to achieve positive mental health, work towards achievements, and strive for overall well-being during this crucial year. It offers canine-assisted stress relief for students and school support with animal therapy.
Our package includes:
- A cognitive IQ Assessment (WAIS-IV) to identify your strengths and areas for growth.
- A personalised written report empowering you to approach the year with learning strategies and goals aligned to your abilities.
- Five individual 50-minute sessions with a psychologist spaced throughout the year. These engaging sessions follow structured themes to build essential study and coping skills whilst allowing students to explore personal goals and challenges.
- The option for animal-assisted therapy with our therapy dogs, helping to reduce stress and enhance emotional well-being.
- Your own Puppy Pause pack.
