Emma grew up in the Golden Plains area and is closely connected to the region. Emma developed the vision for Barking Mad Company many years ago after realising the potential for the connection between people and animals to promote mental wellbeing. Emma is passionate about providing a welcoming therapy space for clients from all backgrounds.
Emma enjoys working in a Schema therapy modality whilst borrowing strategies from cognitive and dialectical behaviour therapies. She has trained in psychology with professional football teams, adolescent psychology, and in the justice system. Emma also has an extensive background in human resources. She works with a range of clients, with a passion for men’s mental health, veterans, and positive ageing. Emma collaborates closely with clients and is a great choice if you traditionally find therapy confronting. She’s a straight-shooting psychologist who empathises without judgement and wants to see clients move forward positively in line with their own values and life goals.
